Product Description
Kuali Student will be a modular, open source, standards-based next generation student system delivered through service-oriented architecture and web services.It will include eight modules:

Modules
Learning Unit Management
For Kuali Student, Curriculum Management is referred to as Learning Unit Management. Manages the life cycle of learning units that are offered and recognized by the institution. A learning unit is any component of learning completed as part of the student learning experience (e.g., degree, exam, single course, learning plan). More
Person Identity
Manages individual people, collections of people, organizational units and inter-entity relationships including communication. More
Enrollment (including Learning Plan)
Enables learners to create learning plans, record (or declare) their learning intentions, and register in learning activities such as programs, joint programs, specializations and courses. It supports the management of student records, the collection of grades, transcripts and graduation. More
Program Audit and Evaluation
Includes a database of requirements for all programs offered by the institution. It provides end-of Academic Time Period evaluations on academic progress to assist in identifying students at risk. It also supports monitoring of non-academic such as leadership training, internships, etc. More
Student Financials
Supports the pricing, sale and purchase of both internal and external products (e.g. courses and programs) and services (e.g. athletics and library fees). It manages the assessment of additional fees, invoicing and customer payments. It also provides access to financial planning tools for learners. More
Admissions
Matches prospective learners (called prospects or applicants) with learning activities (such as programs or courses) that an institution offers. Evidence management supports the collection, matching and evaluation of information that supports the admission application process. More
Scheduling
Manages the offering of Learning Units, the assignment of the various resources required to deliver the Learning Units, and the publication of the schedules. More
Financial Aid
Financial Aid all the processes to manage awards and financial resources. It also manages customer’s financial needs. More
